The Central Artwork (Shabih-e-Zuljanah/Zulifqar) Kufic Calligraphy Mosque Silhouette
Description Code (sj-047)
Architectural Structure (The Silhouette)
The calligraphy is cleverly integrated to form the recognizable silhouette of a mosque, which includes:
-
Central Dome: A prominent, rounded dome sits in the middle, representing the main part of the mosque.
-
Minarets: There are six tall, slender towers flanking the central dome, which are typical minarets (towers from which the adhan or call to prayer is traditionally given).
- The two tallest minarets are in the inner positions, and two shorter, slightly different minarets are located between the tallest ones.
- The two outermost pillars are also styled like simplified minarets.
- Symmetry: The entire composition is strikingly symmetrical and balanced, a characteristic often found in both Islamic geometric art and Kufic calligraphy.
Material: MDF + Acrylic Mirror (Total 6 mm)
